Arriving by plane
Bydgoszcz has an airport called the Ignacy J. Paderewski Airport, situated less than five kilometres south of the city centre. It is possible to fly to Warsaw, Kraków, Dublin, London, Birmingham and Bristol. On the ground floor there is an airport information clerk who is primarily there to help you with flight information but will also be happy to give you advice on getting to town etc. Upstairs you can find a café, press outlets and something else of interest. The bus stop is located on the right side of the terminal building. The line 80 bus operates every day from the Railway Station to the Airport and back. Travel time to city centre takes about 15 minutes.
Arriving by train
The main train station, Bydgoszcz Główna, is about 1 km northwest of the Old Town. To get to the student house head out of the doors and to the tram or bus stop right in front of the station. You can take a tram number 5 or 8 and hop off on 8th stop (Jagiellońska-Łużycka) or bus number 67 and hop off at 6th stop (Curie-Skłodowskiej – Jurasza). Bus 67 does not come very often - approx. every 20 minutes. If you decide to take taxi then you will find taxis standing to the right of the main entrance.
These will usually charge you about 30 zł to get to the Student House.
