From May 20-24, 2024, UKW will host another Blended Intensive Course - Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme: Digital Skills, Innovation and Social Development. The coordinator and originator of the course is Karolina Kluth, PhD of UKW's Department of Economics.
Among other things, the project aims to highlight the role of digital skills and innovation in addressing social challenges and contributing to social development. In addition, encouraging participants to stay abreast of new technologies and trends throughout their careers.
Five partner universities are involved in the initiative:
University of Western Macedonia - Greece,
Burgas Free University - Bulgaria,
Vilniaus Kolegija/Higher Education Insititution - Lithuania,
“1 Decembrie 1918” University of Alba Iulia - Romania, and
Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek - Croatia.
Erasmus+ BIP Digital Skills, Innovation and Social Development, are:
- partner universities from 6 countries,
- 45 active participants - students,
- 7 lecturers, including: 3 from Poland, 2 from Greece, 1 from Romania and 1 from Lithuania,
- 3 external experts.
- a program covering 20 thematic areas.
The week-long workshop in Poland was preceded by a mandatory series of online meetings.
The inaugural lecture of the Erasmus+ BIP project, hosted by Karolina Kluth, PhD took place already on April 15, 2024 on the MSTeams platform. During the lecture, all participants were welcomed and introduced to the topic of data analysis and the detailed program of the workshop was presented.
The second online lecture took place on April 22, 2024, and was led by IT expert Mr. Pawel Alicki. He addressed the topic of effective communication in the digital age, presenting email etiquette and collaboration tools and platforms for effective teamwork.
The third online lecture took place on April 22, 2024, and was led by Dr. Piotr Walewicz. The topic of the lecture was the intertwining of innovation, society and history. The lecture showed how innovations were created throughout history and their impact on society.
The final, fourth online lecture, entitled Ears, Eyes and Words: How Machines Imitate Humans, was given by Ms. Karolina Seweryn, NASK expert. She introduced the audience to the world of artificial intelligence and its impact on our lives.
