A few weeks ago, we invited our Erasmus+ students to take part in the Become a Masterpiece photo contest and discover Bydgoszcz from a completely new perspective. Their mission was to recreate one of the city's sculptures in a creative and original way, becoming a "living masterpiece."

The response exceeded our expectations.

We received many wonderful entries that showcased creativity, imagination, and unique interpretations of Bydgoszcz's public art. Every participant approached the challenge differently, making the jury's decision a difficult one.

After careful evaluation, we are pleased to announce the winners:

  • 1st Place
    Elhachmi Er-Rachdaoui (Morocco)

  • 2nd Place
    Osman Yunus Genç (Türkiye)

  • 3rd Place
    Alina Asheela (Namibia)

  • Special Recognition Award
    Maria Paradela (Portugal)

Congratulations to all our awarded participants!

The winners of the first, second, and third prizes will receive official UKW merchandise, while the recipient of the Special Recognition Award will receive a UKW polo shirt together with a sustainable surprise gift.

We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who participated in the contest. Your enthusiasm, creativity, and willingness to explore Bydgoszcz in such an original way made this initiative a great success. Each submission demonstrated that art can be found not only in museums and galleries, but also in the streets of the city—waiting to be discovered through a different perspective.

We hope this competition inspired you to explore Bydgoszcz in a new way and created lasting memories during your Erasmus+ journey at Kazimierz Wielki University.

Thank you for being part of our international community. We look forward to welcoming you to more Erasmus+ events, activities, and competitions in the future.
