Arriving in Bydgoszcz
Arriving by plane
Bydgoszcz is served by Ignacy Jan Paderewski Airport (BZG), located approximately 4 km south of the city centre.
The airport offers scheduled flights to Warsaw and several international destinations, including London, Birmingham, Bristol, Dublin and Alicante. Additional destinations are available seasonally, including holiday charter flights. As routes may change during the year, check the current timetable on the airport’s official website before travelling.
The passenger terminal provides an information desk, cafés, shops, car-hire services and other basic facilities.
The bus stop is located to the right of the terminal building. Bus 80 operates daily between the airport and Bydgoszcz Główna railway station, passing through the city centre. The journey to the centre usually takes approximately 15 minutes. Tickets can be purchased from ticket machines, through supported mobile applications or, subject to availability, at the airport ticket counter.
Arriving by train
The city’s main railway station, Bydgoszcz Główna, is located approximately 1.5 km northwest of the Old Market Square. Tram and bus stops can be found directly outside the station.
If you are staying at the Student House on Łużycka Street, you can take tram 5 towards Łoskoń or tram 8 towards Kapuściska. Get off at the Jagiellońska / Łużycka stop, located close to the Student House.
Alternatively, take bus 67 towards Most Kazimierza Wielkiego and get off at the Skłodowskiej-Curie / Jurasza stop. From there, it is a short walk to the Student House. The bus journey takes approximately 11 minutes.

Arriving by coach
The main coach station, Bydgoszcz Dworzec Autobusowy, is located close to the city centre at:

Domestic and international coach services operated by different carriers depart from this station. Tickets can be purchased online or, where available, from the station’s ticket office.
If you are staying at the Student House on Łużycka Street, take tram 5 towards Łoskoń or tram 8 towards Kapuściska and get off at the Jagiellońska / Łużycka stop. The Student House is within walking distance of the stop.
Taxis, Uber and Bolt
Taxis are available outside the airport terminal and near the main railway and coach stations. Uber and Bolt also operate in Bydgoszcz and can be booked through their mobile apps. Prices depend on demand, the time of day and your destination, so check the estimated fare before confirming your journey.
