How to Apply for Staff Mobility
Kazimierz Wielki University (UKW) welcomes academic and administrative staff interested in undertaking an individual Erasmus+ mobility in Bydgoszcz.
You may apply for:
- Staff Mobility for Teaching (STA) – for academic staff who wish to teach at UKW;
- Staff Mobility for Training (STT) – for academic or administrative staff interested in job shadowing, workshops, exchanging good practices or other professional development activities.
Step 1 – Contact the International Relations Office
If you are planning a teaching or training mobility at UKW, please contact the International Relations Office by email. To help us process your request, include:
- your full name and position;
- the name and country of your home institution;
- the type of mobility: teaching or training;
- your academic field or area of work;
- your preferred dates and the proposed duration of your visit;
- the UKW faculty, department or administrative unit you would like to visit;
- a brief description of your proposed activities and the objectives of the mobility.
You may also attach a draft Mobility Agreement, a CV or a preliminary teaching or training programme, if available.
Please send your request sufficiently in advance, as the proposed dates and programme must be agreed with the relevant UKW unit.
Step 2 – Academic or administrative approval
The International Relations Office will forward your request to the appropriate departmental Erasmus+ coordinator, faculty member or administrative unit.
The relevant unit will review the proposed mobility, confirm whether it can host you and help determine the content of your teaching or training programme. Acceptance depends on staff availability, the proposed activities and the dates of the visit.
Please do not make non-refundable travel arrangements before receiving confirmation that your mobility has been accepted.
Step 3 – Agree on the mobility programme
Once a UKW host has been identified, you will work with the relevant coordinator or staff member to prepare a programme suited to your professional interests and the objectives of your Erasmus+ mobility.
For teaching mobility, the programme should specify the planned classes, lectures or other teaching activities. For training mobility, it should describe the planned job-shadowing sessions, meetings, workshops or exchange of good practices.
The final programme should be included in the relevant Erasmus+ Mobility Agreement for Teaching or Mobility Agreement for Training and approved by the participant, the sending institution and UKW.
Step 4 – Prepare your visit
After your mobility has been accepted, the International Relations Office will provide practical information and support with organising your stay in Bydgoszcz. Where required, the Office can also assist with the institutional documents connected with your visit.
Travel arrangements, insurance, accommodation and Erasmus+ funding should be discussed with your home institution. Participants normally receive their Erasmus+ grant from the sending institution rather than from UKW.
