Erasmus +

The Erasmus +, as a continuation of earlier educational programmes, is a EU’s programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. At Kazimierz Wielki University, the Erasmus+ programme is handled and implemented by the International Relations Office. The IRO implements the program thanks to the Erasmus+ Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) and numerous interinstitutional agreements (IIE).

The Erasmus+ programme

...enables students and recent graduates to go abroad for part of their studies and internships. Each student receives mobility capital - 12 months for mobility at each level of study. IRO (International Relations Office) supports the student of the Erasmus+ programme in organizing the mobility. IRO recruits students, organizes information meetings, qualifies for mobility, supports in the process of drawing up the Learning/Traineeship Agreement, draws up financial agreements, pays scholarships and ensures that the student's stay at the host university goes according to plan. Before leaving, the student has the opportunity to participate in cultural workshops and can apply for co-financing of a language course.

The Erasmus+ programme

...also means accepting students from abroad who have chosen Kazimierz Wielki University as their place of study. IRO provides incoming students with assistance at every stage, from the recruitment process, preparation of the Learning Agreement, to day to day suport during the stay. For foreign students, IRO organizes Welcome Week. It is an introductory week during which students visit Bydgoszcz and its surroundings, participate in language and cultural workshops, quizzes, karaoke and meetings in student clubs. IRO initiated the BUDDY programme, i.e. a foreign student care programme. UKW students can apply for the BUDDY programme and receive a confirmation at the end. Participation in the buddy program provides additional points when applying for the Rector's scholarship and recruitment to the Erasmus+ programme. During the stay, the Erasmus+ students participate in classes conducted in English. In addition, they can attend a free Polish language course and, if necessary, an English language course. Erasmus+ students receive substantive support from IRO Staff and Erasmus+ coordinators. During the semester, the International Relations Office organizes additional attractions for students: escape room, city game, Christmas meetings, etc. Students can use the university's sports facilities, swimming pool and gym.
